We visited PWC, Baird and IBM and had a great time! Besides visiting some great companies and meeting potential future employers, we experienced the city and bonded as a group. Below are just a few pictures documenting our trip. Thanks to everyone who made this trip a success and thanks to our members for participating in this awesome event!

As a reminder, our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 9th in 306 Bessey. We will be discussing any comments you may have about this year in IBO as well as plans for the future. There will be games to play, prizes to win and as always plenty of free food. Can’t wait to see all of you then! Also, members will have the opportunity to sign up to come with us to see MSU play the Lansing Lugnuts in Baseball. Don’t miss out!

We went to Portillo’s for dinner on Friday and Manny ordered a little more than he could handle but he finished all of it! Delicious!

Please join us in 106 Bessey at 7pm on February 12th for our third meeting of the semester. Dave Sylvester, CFO at Steelcase Inc. will be our featured speaker.

Steelcase is headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, but Dave works internationally on a very frequent basis. He travels all around the world several times per year, mostly in Europe and Asia. But, he has also traveled to the middle east and South America as well. Dave took an expatriate assignment with Steelcase from 2001 to 2004 where he lived with his family in Strasbourg, France.
Steelcase is a multinational company operating all over the world and recently celebrated its 100 year anniversary. As a manufacturer of office furniture, they aim to transform the way people work by designing office space that promotes collaboration, integrates technology and improves worker efficiency. Steelcase also has a hand in manufacturing furniture for higher education, including some here at MSU–again the ideas behind their classroom furniture are to promote collaboration and the use of technology in order to facilitate learning.
